PAPERGAMES / COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Make your contribution count.

Honest experience, useful detail and respect for the people behind the projects.

Share something useful.

  • Describe what you tried, what worked and what could improve. A concrete example helps other readers.
  • If you have not played the project, make clear that your review is based on research, a demo or first impressions.
  • Short reviews are allowed. Length alone does not determine whether an opinion is useful.

Keep it independent and honest.

  • Do not invent an experience, copy the same review across projects or post unrelated promotional text.
  • Disclose a relationship with the project or any payment or benefit received for a review.
  • Do not create extra accounts, coordinate artificial votes or post empty contributions solely to collect XP.

Be critical with respect.

Negative opinions and disagreement are welcome. Harassment, hate, threats, impersonation, private personal information and malicious links are not.

Participation and XP.

Your first review on each project earns 10 XP once. Editing the same review does not grant more review XP or increase your lifetime review count. The XP guide lists the rewards and badge milestones.

Technical limits and duplicate-reward protection do not prove that an opinion is useful or that every account belongs to a different person. We use indicators to help a human moderator examine contributions. An indicator alone does not hide a review, remove XP or suspend an account.

Reports and moderation.

Use “Report review” on another member’s review if you believe it breaks these guidelines. Choose a reason and add relevant context. Do not report an opinion simply because you disagree with it.

The team can remove a review from the public list and rating totals, record a reason and restore it after examination. The author can still edit a hidden review; editing does not restore public visibility. Historical XP and achievements remain recorded. A moderator can also mark an indicator checked without hiding the review or dismissing open reports.

Ask for another look.

If your review was hidden and you think the decision is mistaken, contact admin@papergames.xyz with the project name, your public display name and an explanation. Do not send passwords, private keys or sign-in codes.
